General Director of JSC Mikron Gennady Krasnikov has been elected Full Member of the Russian Academy of Science

Gennady Krasnikov is the head of the business division SITRONICS Microelectronic Solutions and is the author of 260 science papers, 3 of which are monographies. Since 1997 Mr. Krasnikov was Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Science, also since 2006 Mr. Krasnikov is a member of the Presidential Council for Science, Technology and Education.  

One of JSC Mikron’s strategic priorities is sustenance of the enterprise’s scientific potential and development of the theoretical and engineering school in the field of microelectronics. As of today, 300 Mikron’s employees are engaged in research and development activities.On a regular basis Mikron’s R&D staff takes advanced vocational trainings and competence development courses at foreign companies. Gennady Krasnikov is the head of the department “Submicron ICs technology” at the Moscow State University of Electronics.  

Elections of the Full Members and Corresponding Members took place on the 28^th of May in the framework of the general meeting of the Russian Academy of Science; results of the secret voting were announced on the 29^th of May. Total number of the aspirants for all departments made up 226 persons. Forty-four new academicians were elected as a result of the voting .
