JSC Mikron is the largest manufacturer of integrated circuits in Russia and CIS
implementing investment program aimed at modernization of ICs production
up to the level of 180–90 nm, the winner of the tender for the development
of IC for the State Program "Electronic Passport of Russia", the largest Russian exporter of ICs, the winner
of state and international awards.

About the company
"Scientific Research Center for Molecular Electronics and Mikron Factory" was founded in March, 1964. The enterprise initially developed high-speed integrated circuits and was completely focused on defense industry.
Today it is the largest microelectronic enterprise in CIS and Eastern Europe with modern research-and-production base and highly skilled personnel.
JSC Mikron is a part of JSC SITRONICS structure where it is the leading enterprise for Microelectronic Solutions business division. Other enterprises of the same business division are Voronezh Factory of Semiconductors, Sitronics Smart Technologies, Research Institute for Precise Mechanical Engineering. The personnel of Sitronics Microelectronic Solutions is about 3000 people, 1600 of that number work at Mikron. Today 37 per cent of the employees are university graduates.
Mikron is working towards restoration of scientific — engineering school: 12 employees previously worked abroad, 120 people have been trained at the most advanced factories of USA, Europe and Japan. Mikron has raised two academicians (of the USSR Academy of Sciences and Russian Academy of Sciences) and four correspondent-members. Today more than 300 people are engaged in scientific research and development.
The strategic objective is to strengthen its positions in the internal market by overcoming technological backlog from the world manufacturers and build modern production lines for ICs in Russia which would offer products meeting the highest requirements to the domestic consumers of microelectronics and smart-cards. Long-term experience of production, highly skilled technical personnel, the research centre are a good foundation for the further development of microelectronics production and development of new technologies.
The enterprise has about 500 customers in Russia and 100 abroad and on a long term basis cooperates with more than 50 branches, academic research and design centers.
Mikron’s industrial platform and laboratory base is playing a role of a nucleus around which Russian Silicon Valley revives.
